Weston M. Phillips, 89, of Morrells Mill Road, passed away peacefully June 28, 2026, at Pinnacle Health in Sanford, just four months after the passing of his dear wife, Collette.
He was born August 3, 1936, in Sanford, ME, one of 11 kids born to Hosea and Muriel (Hooper) Phillips. He attended Sanford schools before enlisting in the United States Navy. He married his first wife, Arabella with whom he had a daughter Martha, while enlisted. After Weston returned home to North Berwick, his wife Arabella passed away. In 1960, he remarried Collette A. Morin and together raised 5 children. Weston provided for his family as a truck driver for City Concrete for 33 years. He was a dedicated, hardworking man.
What little free time he had, he enjoyed coin collecting, bird watching but mostly spending precious time with his extended family.
Weston was pre-deceased by his first wife, Arabella Phillips and second wife, Collette (Morin) Phillips in February of 2026 as well as all his siblings. Surviving are his 5 children; Martha (Larry) Russell, Carol A. Vezina, Robert Phillips, Mason (Tracey) Phillips and Muriel (Gerry) Lambert.; 11 grandchildren: Bobby-Jo and April Vezina, Jarrod and Bruce Russell, Kristy Michaud, Michelle Balcewicz, Adam Lambert, Kayla Goodrich, Dominic Lambert, Christopher and Marisa Phillips; 15 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Thursday, July 2 from 10-11am at the Johnson Funeral Home, 26 Market Street, North Berwick, ME, immediately followed by Graveside Services at 11:30 for both Weston and Collette Phillips at Oakdale Cemetery, Sanford, ME. Pastor Robert Cole of Bethel Christian Church will officiate.
