Terry Ellen Chalifour, 67, of Berwick, Maine, passed away on January 13, 2024 after a hard-fought battle with cancer.
Born in Beverly, Massachusetts, Terry grew up in Peabody, Massachusetts where she attended Peabody High School. Alongside her husband Glenn, Terry raised their family in Beverly, Massachusetts and later moved to Berwick, Maine.
A lifelong caregiver, Terry not only gave an immense amount of love and care to her family, but to the public as well where she served as an EMT in Gloucester for several years.Terry was also known to care for and spoil her dog, Whitey, and could often be caught scooping steak off her own plate into the dog’s bowl.
Terry will always be remembered as a music lover where she would dance to Marvin Gaye in the kitchen and was even able to travel to Las Vegas this past year to see Adele in residency. Always proud of her Irish roots, Terry was able to visit Ireland to where she traced the location of her ancestors.
Terry is survived by her beloved husband, Glenn Chalifour, and her children: Becky Harmon and her husband Andrew, Michael Chalifour, Brian Chalifour and his wife Tara. She was a cherished and proud Grammy to Ben and Nolan Harmon, as well as Riley Chalifour. Terry's warm and nurturing spirit will be deeply missed by her family.
She was preceded in death by her father, William Kingston, her mother, Jeanne Kingston, and her sister, Pat King, all of whom she served as primary caregiver to at the end of their lives. Terry's memory will be forever treasured by her loved ones.
A private service will be held to honor Terry's life. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Jimmy Fund, a charity that was close to Terry's heart.
Terry was a compassionate caregiver, a devoted wife, mother, and Grammy. Her legacy of love and selflessness will continue to inspire all who knew her.
Arrangements are entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, North Berwick, Maine
