Teresa Mondello Obituary

Teresa Wagner Mondello, 70, of North Berwick, formerly of Gloucester, MA, passed away December 6, 2021 after a brief illness.  She was the daughter of the late Geraldine “Gerry” Wagner of Gloucester, MA and the granddaughter of the late Ernestine Balzarini of Rockport, MA.

Teresa was born and raised in Gloucester.  She worked on Cape Ann as a CNA caring for Alzheimer/Dementia patients; a job she truly enjoyed and loved those she cared for.  She was compassionate and selfless.

In the late 1990’s, Teresa and her husband John purchased Rowe’s Farm in Rockport, MA, changing the name to Willow Tree Farm.  She always loved horses and with the farm, she got to share that love with her riding students, especially the younger ones. After retirement, they sold the farm and moved to North Berwick, ME.  She couldn’t sit still and decided to continue her work as a CNA thru Home Instead, giving the compassion and loving care she felt they deserved.  She loved her work as they were more than patients, they were friends. In her spare time, she enjoyed walking on Stacey Blvd in Gloucester, her favorite place on earth.

Teresa had a mutual love with her animals, her dogs, cars, birds and precious bearded dragon.  The time and loving care she gave them was immeasurable.

Teresa especially looked forward to family gatherings and cookouts where she could see family members from near and far.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.  Her laugh contagious and her smile beautiful.  A piece of our heart goes with her.  Our memories will keep her alive.  May your spirit fly high.

Teresa was predeceased by her brother, John “Billy” Wagner.  She is survived by her husband John Mondello; sons, Paul Coughlin, Michael Coughlin, step son, Eric Coughlin; grandchildren, Kyla Rose and Liam Coughlin; sister Cheryl Wagner Johnson and husband Robert, brothers James Wagner and wife Irene, Jeffrey Wagner and wife Rhonda and Christopher Wagner and wife Tracy as well as her nieces and nephews.

Honoring her wishes, there will be no services.  A family gathering to celebrate her life will be held in the Summer of 2022.  Arrangements are entrusted to the Johnson Funeral Home North Berwick, ME.  Condolences may be expressed at www.JohnsonFuneralHomeME.com
