Lebanon, Maine
Stephen Arthur Newton, Dad, Pa was a simple man who loved his family fiercely. He married Donna Marie Falconeiri, his one and only, on August 27, 1961, in Middleboro, Massachusetts.
In 1974, they bought the big, old red schoolhouse in West Lebanon Village, where they loved hosting friends and family from near and far. Their New Year’s Eve parties were legendary and brought together many cherished memories.
Steve spent most of his life as a long-distance truck driver and later worked alongside family and friends. He was known for his kind words, warm smile, and the twinkle in his blue eyes. Camping was his passion, and he happily took anyone who wanted to go on trips across the country.
Jelly donuts (not from DD), cookouts, homemade chocolate chip cookies, and anything Donna made, especially alongside a cold beer made him a happy man. He loved hauling his grandchildren around in tractors, cars, boats, and trucks anywhere they wanted to go. Trips to the Acton Fair and attending the Daytona 500 together created many treasured memories.
A Time of Remembrance will be held on Sunday March 15, 2026 from 1:00-3:00p at Johnson Funeral Home, North Berwick, Maine.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Donna Marie Newton, and his son, Steven Vincent Newton.
He is survived by his children: Gina and Don, Stephanie and Robert, Phillip and Jen, and his best friend, Nicole. He also leaves behind six grandchildren: Justine and Michael, Julianna and Louis, Matthew and Stephanie, Caleb and Makayla, Gabriella and Michael, and Anthony and Brooke; as well as his great-grandchildren Vincent, Julian, Nicco, Enzo, Lena, Laney, and Huck.
He will be dearly missed and is now reunited with Donna and Stevie.
10–7, Night Watchman.
