Robert D. Best, 55 of Woodland Hills, formerly of Berwick, ME passed away peacefully at his home on December 26, 2020 with his family by his side.
He was born in New Brunswick, Canada on September 4, 1965, son of Richard and Doris (Cote) Best. Raised in a military family, Bob relocated to Maine at the age of 6. H was a 1983 graduate of Noble High School in Berwick, ME then attended McIntosh College in Dover, NH. Bob worked at Prime Tanning in Berwick for ten years, retiring due to health problems.
A man of few words but a very loyal friend, husband and father. Bob loved trips on his Harley and attending Bike Week in Laconia. In his early years, he enjoyed Mardi Gras with his sister, Theresa. Mostly, Bob loved spending time with his family and was so proud of his children. He loved visiting his daughter’s home and being with his grandchildren.
Bob is survived by his high school sweet heart and wife of 35 years, Jennifer (Welch) Best of South Berwick, ME; daughter Janelle Spero and husband Nathan and their children, Nathan, Jr and Gianna of Sandown, NH; son Derek Best of Dover, NH; 4 sisters, Theresa, Christine, Karen and Lynnda as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews and numerous friends.
A time of visitation will be held Wednesday, December 30 from 10am to 12pm at the Johnson Funeral Home, 26 Market Street, North Berwick, ME. To adhere to COVID-19 restrictions, masks will be required. A graveside service will follow at 1pm in the Evergreen Cemetery, Berwick, ME.
