Richard Paul Gillotti

SANFORD/SPRINGVALE, ME

Richard P. Gillotti, 73, passed away May 24, 2023 after a period of declining health.  In 2018 Ricky moved to Maine to be closer to his brother and family.  During that time he lived in Sanford and in Springvale, most recently at The Lodges Care Center.

Ricky was born February 9, 1950 in Danbury, CT, one of 9 children born to Charles and Gladys (Sanborn) Gillotti.  He was raised in Bethel, CT and graduated from high school there.  He lived most of his adult life in the Danbury, CT and Carmel, NY areas, working as a cook.

Ricky will be remembered as a quiet man who loved trivia, current events, and reminiscing about past years.  His friends and family were very important to him.

In addition to his parents, Ricky was pre-deceased by his twin sister, Charlene Ives, sister Patrice Gillotti, and brother C. Daniel Gillotti.  He also leaves 2 brothers and 3 sisters: Gary Gillotti and wife Nikky of Sanford, ME, Thomas Gillotti of Washington, Dashielle Kundrat-Foley and husband Steve Foley of Arizona, Christine Gillotti of Arizona, and Lisa Gillotti of Washington, as well as several nieces and nephews. He will be fondly remembered by all.
