Peter Robert Jones

Peter R Jones, 80 of Wells, ME passed away peacefully at 2AM  July 20th at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House, in Scarborough,ME. He was born August 16, 1943 in Cambridge, MA. He went to Rindge Tech High School and studied drafting at Wentworth Institute in Boston, MA. Working for Boston Metal Door before opening his own place “The Metal Shop” in Medford, MA  welding and fabricating.

He married his wife Toni Jones on November 11, 1983. They moved to Maine in 1989. He worked at EKTO Manufacturing CO. for 30 years.  Peter enjoyed going out to eat, going to the movies, cars and going to yard sales looking for elusive treasures. He also enjoyed antiques and collectibles, collecting opera glasses and depression glass.

Peter loved his family and really enjoyed watching his grandchildren and great grandchildren grow up.

Peter was pre deceased by his parents Charlotte (Chingo) Jones and John R Jones of Cambridge, MA and North Berwick, ME, his brother John F Jones of Florida.

Survived by wife Toni (D’Alessandro)

Jones , daughter Karen (Jones) Williford of Jefferson, ME son Paul Smalley of Dubach, LA. Grandchildren Melissa Ramsden, Matthew Ramsden and Zoe Ramsden. Great grandchildren Aria Ramsden and Reid Ramsden.  Brother David Jones of Billerica, MA and wife Margaret (Black) Sister-in-law Dorothy (Darveris) from Florida. Sister Charlotte (Jones) Prentice and brother-in-law Robert of Arlington, MA. Many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

Family and friends are invited to the Celebration of Life on July 29th at For Love of Food and Drink, 411 Post Rd (Rt 1), Wells, ME at 1:00 PM. Please dress casual as Peter would.
