Owen Peter Marquis, age 35, died unexpectedly in Frisbee Memorial Hospital on July 4th, 2021. He went to Noble High school in North Berwick and finished a GED in 2019. Owen worked most of his younger life in the steel industry before an injury forced him to retire. He spent his recent days as a freelance artist and lyricist, working on a variety of projects, including a planned web comic called Dead Madman Walking.
Owen was always a creative person who always marched to the beat of his own drum. He is survived by his mother, Eileen F. Granley, his father, Paul R. Marquis, his brother, Lee J. Marquis, and Nephew, Adrian C. Marquis. He is also survived by a host of self-declared family members from his time in Maine.
Owen will be cremated by Johnson Funeral Home in North Berwick, ME on Friday July 9th. His remains will be in his family’s care for the time being, please reach out to his brother Lee Marquis if you would like to know more about plans to put him to rest.
A celebration of life for family and close friends will be held in his honor at Cara Irish Pub at 11 4th St in Dover NH either Saturday July 10th or Saturday July 17th depending on who can attend when.
