Mathew Austin-Lee Jones

Mathew Austin-Lee Jones, 37 of Waterboro, ME passed away unexpectedly April 19, 2025 at his home after a brief illness.

He was born August 17, 1987 in Concord, NH, the son of David Jones and Debbie Daley.  Mathew was a 2006 graduate of Noble High School in North Berwick, ME.  Mathew loved his job driving fork lift and loading trucks for Nappi Distribution in Gorham.  His work ethics made him a stand out at his job where he’d made numerous friends.

Mathew was a quiet man who enjoyed the simple things in life, especially fishing.  He was very knowledgeable with anything to do with turtles and enjoyed finding frogs in his adventures.  He loved all animals, especially his two cats, Luna and Oreo.  Mathew also loved golfing and his RC cars.  Firstly, Mathew loved spending time with all of his family and friends, which he had many of.  He was blessed to have a bonus family with Catherine, Daryl, Annette, Jim and all the kids.

Matt was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Claude and Peggy Daley, Aunt Barbara and Uncle Donald Daley.  Surviving are his mother, Debbie (Daley) Moulton and his step-dad Ross of North Berwick; his father, Dave Jones; sisters, Marissa Jones, Mariah Akers and Breana Moulton as well as his paternal grandparents, Don and Sandra Jones and step-grandfather, Clarence (Les) Moulton.  He will be forever loved by his nieces and nephews, Cooper, Preston, Finn-Lee and Harper.

A Celebration of Mathew’s life will be held Friday, May 9 at 1pm at Spring Hill, 117 Pond Road, South Berwick, ME 03908.  Friends who wish may contribute in memory of his love of animals to Emma’s Angels, 30 Meeting House Road, North Berwick, ME 03906 or Another Chance Animal Rescue, P.O.
