Marlene Cuthbertson Obituary

Marlene (Shaw) Cuthbertson, 81, of Hudson, NH passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at her home following a period of declining health.

She was born in Rochester, NH daughter of the later Willis (Pete) and May (Lowell) Shaw and raised in North Berwick, ME

Marlene was the beloved wife of David Cuthbertson of Hudson, with whom she was married for 60 years.  She is also survived by two daughters, Debbie Hanks of Hudson and Gail Cuthbertson of Milford. She has one grandson, Adam and his wife Elizabeth, and one great grandson Ian all of Manchester. 

Marlene graduated from Concord Hospital School of Nursing in 1959.  She was a stay at home mom for many years, volunteering for Girl Scouts, with BAFTA at the Hudson Baptist Church, and chaperoned numerous school field trips.  She returned to college at night, graduating from New England College with a BA in Psychology, and became a school nurse for Hudson and Litchfield public schools and Presentation of Mary Academy.

Marlene loved a good book, Wells Beach, and spending time with family and friends.

A graveside memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 26 at 1PM in the Hillside Cemetery, Route 4, North Berwick, ME.
