Madeline E. Langlois, 91, a lifelong resident of Dover, NH, passed away at her daughter’s home with her family by her side.
She was born January 10, 1935, in Dover, NH, the daughter of Albert and Emma (Flayhan) George. After the birth of her daughter, she devoted herself fully to her role as a homemaker.
She and her husband sang together in the choir at St. George’s Church, in Dover.
She held a lifelong love for York Beach, where her family once had a cottage. Even after the cottage was sold, she continued to cherish visits to the beach and the view of Nubble Lighthouse, a place that always felt like home to her.
She took great joy in feeding those she loved, always happiest when her kitchen was full and everyone was well cared for. Her beloved cat, Onyx, was her constant companion and truly her whole world.
Madeline was pre-deceased by her husband of 60 years, Eugene Langlois, as well as 5 siblings, Joseph, Philip, Louis, Michael and Edward George.
She will be forever loved by her daughter; Kathleen Cote and her husband Blain of North Berwick; 5 grandchildren, Emily Kopko and her husband Jordan, Evan Cote, Eric Cote and his wife Mercy, Elizabeth Cote and Elisha Cote; great grandchildren, Adelynn, Kenley and Casen Kopko, and Oliver Cote; and one sister, Alfredine Gelinas.
