Linda Ann White, 65, of Wells, passed away at Maine Medical Center on March 15, 2026, with family by her side after a four-year battle with leukemia.
She was born April 30, 1960, in Frankfurt, Germany, the daughter of Philip and Winnifred (Morton) Robichaud. Linda graduated from Westbrook High School in 1978.
In 1979, she married Edwin White, raising their children in Wells, ME. Linda was a hands-on mom throughout her children’s school years, as a Girl Scout troop leader, band and soccer mom, whom all the kids loved - she never missed an event.
For many years, she could be found at the Hannaford Deli Department, where she was affectionately known as the "Cheese Lady".
In her free time, Linda enjoyed tai chi, painting, gardening, and watching the birds around her home. She especially enjoyed spending time with her two grandchildren, Gavin and Colson. Her time as Meme was some of the most special to her - taking the boys on adventures, sharing her love of birds and art, and always being there for them whenever they needed her.
Linda was predeceased by her parents, nephew Christopher Denis, and grandnephew Branden Denis.
Surviving are her husband of 47 Years, Edwin White, Jr. of Wells; two children, Katie White and her husband Terrin Haskell of Sanford and Eddie White and wife Jenna White of Lewiston; six siblings, Michelle DeBruin and her husband Rick DeBruin, Susan Denis and her husband Keven Denis, Paul Robichaud and his wife Stephanie Robichaud, Michael Robichaud and his wife Andrea Robichaud, Ronnie Robichaud and his wife Jennifer Robichaud, and Helen Robichaud; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Linda on Sunday, May 3 from 10am to 2pm at the Stacy Symbol Apartments Community Room at 68 Nicklaus Lane, Westbrook, Maine.
