Kim Novak Kimball, 66, of North Berwick, Maine passed unexpectedly on November 6th.
Kim was Born in Beverly, Massachusetts on July 24th predeceased by parents Bette and William “Bill” Novak and siblings Judy Bright and David Eckmann, and survived by siblings Gary Eckmann, and Gail St. Charles. Kim graduated from Beverly High School, who then attended Montserrat College of Art. She met Glenn Kimball in 1981 in Maine and was married in 1986. She worked at Pratt & Whitney for several years before making the decision to stay home and raise her three children. Family was central to her and she fiercely supported those around her. After her children entered school age, she worked several administrative positions before returning to Pratt & Whitney where her career started; Kim proudly retired after 30 years in 2022.
Kim was best known for her love for art, music, literature, and the Boston Celtics. She enjoyed family trips all over the US, countless trips to various beaches, local holiday festivals, loved experimenting with food and other culinary adventures with her husband, mother-daughter trips (New Orleans, Charleston, NYC, to name a few), sporting events with her son, phone calls/ video chats with her grandchildren, & showering them with gifts to cultivate their creativity. Education was deeply rooted in her family values, she was very proud of her daughters pursuit of Masters degrees and her son’s Associates degrees. She always instilled in her children and grandchildren that everyone has the ability to be an artist, and that the greater our integrity and awareness, the more original and creative our time will be.
Tragically, her life came to a sudden and unexpected end in a rare cardiac event. She passed peacefully at Wentworth Douglas Hospital surrounded by her whole family.
She is survived by her husband of 37 years Glenn Kimball (North Berwick, Maine), her daughter Chelsea Kimball (and Will Thompson who are expecting Ava Thompson-Kimball in Dec 2023 and children William & Isaiah Thompson) in New Hampshire, her daughter Hailey Battle-Jones (son in law Jay Battle-Jones, and grandkids Ezekiel & Luna Battle-Jones) in Colorado, and her son Shea Kimball (soon to be daughter in law Kate Gardella) in New Hampshire.
Celebration of Life is set to be held on July 24th 2024.
