Kieran C. (Kevin) Collins, 57, died suddenly August 28, 2021, Sanford, Maine

 Kieran was born January 19, 1964 in Frankfort, Germany and was adopted as a baby by Kieran F. Collins, Jr. and Gerda M.(née Koch) Collins, he was their only child. The family moved around while Kieran's father was in the Navy, they finally settled in North Berwick, Maine in 1976.

Kieran graduated from Noble High School in 1982, entered the Navy in 1984 and was discharged shortly thereafter for medical reasons.

Kevin had two daughters from his previous marriage, Carrie and Caroline Collins. He met Carol J. Nielsen in 1992 and they married on June 30, 2002. They have a daughter Ann Rose Collins.

Kieran worked for several military bases in Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and Maine. He parted from civilian service in 2018.

Kieran liked playing the slots at Oxford casino and Hollywood Slots, going to the horse races at Scarborough Downs, playing the lottery and watching tv. He enjoyed holding & playing with his pet bearded dragon "Beardie" and visiting his 90-year-old father Kieran F. Collins, Jr three to four times a week.  He enjoyed fishing and hunting and working on cars. Recently, he had re-dedicated himself back to the Lord and loved watching Christian movies with Carol who will dearly miss him.

Kieran was preceded in death by his Nephew Kurt F. Camden, January 13, 2012, his Mother-in-Law Dorothy (née Evans)(Nielsen) Campbell in January 24, 2012, his mother, Gerda M.(née Koch) Collins, January 23, 2014, his oldest child, Carrie Ann Collins, April 11, 2019 and His Sister-in-Law Nancy L. Nielsen December 7, 2020 of Ft. Worth, TX .

He is survived by his wife Carol J. (née Nielsen) Collins, His daughters Caroline A. Collins and Anna Rose Collins, all of Sanford, ME His Grand-daughters Kylee, Sanford, ME , Zoey of Buxton, ME , A grandson Joel of Colorado. His ex-wife Thersa A. Sanborn of Lebanon, ME. His sister-in-Laws Christine A. Nielsen of Lakehurst, NJ., Patricia G. Morin of Belair, MD., Robin L. Nielsen, Sheri E. Nielsen and her Husband Edward Horne, all of Sanford, ME. A Brother-in-Law Gregory R. Nielsen of Pennsylvania. He is also survived by various cousins, nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

 A time of visitation will be held on Thursday, September 9 from 5-7 pm at the Johnson Funeral Home, 26 Market Street, North Berwick.  A memorial service will be held Friday, September 10 at 6pm at the Bible Speaks, 26 Paul Street, South Berwick.
