Kenneth B. Wyman, 85 of Bears Den Road, passed away July 28, 2025 in Maine Medical Center after a period of failing health.
He was born at home, September 12, 1939, in Bridgton, ME, one of seven children born to Linwood and Lydia (Libby) Wyman. The family relocated to North Berwick in the 40’s where Kenny attended local schools.
Kenny worked with his father, “Red” Wyman for many years, learning the trades of Wallpapering and Painting; eventually working with his brothers, Bill and Donny for Wyman Brothers Construction. He continued hanging paper and painting into his late 70’s.
Raised with a devout Christian mother, Lydia, he learned to love the Lord at a very young age. He and brother Donny as well as brothers Eric and Ronnie Hanson sang for several years along the east coast in their gospel quartet, the Disciples. His love of music continued his entire life, playing guitar and singing with his wonderful voice in 4-part harmony. Kenny enjoyed many years camping at his sister’s lake-front home in Naples, ME with all his siblings, children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Bonfires consisted of everyone playing instruments and harmonizing to the old hymns. Old time camp meetings. Kenny was a very competitive cribbage player, was in a bowling league for numerous years and enjoyed a good game of horseshoes. Through life’s trials and tribulations, he never faltered from the Lord.
Kenny found everlasting love with his wife, “George”. They were always together, whether traveling in the RV, camping, attending Wyman family reunions and Christmas parties or just hanging out in the garage playing music and singing.
He was predeceased by his wife, Georgia (Brown) Wyman in 2010; 2 brothers, Donald and William Wyman both of North Berwick; 3 sisters, Gertrude (Wyman) Knight of Naples, Dorothy (Wyman) Ridlon of Bridgton; Carol (Wyman) Kezar of North Berwick. Surviving is his sister, Sherry (Wyman) Johnson of North Berwick; daughters, Lisa Lynne Wyman of Milton, NH; Brenda (Brown) Dunlevy of Port St. Lucie, FL, Lisa (Brown) Pierce and husband Chester, Paula (Brown) Perkins and husband Jason, and Pamela (Brown) Gagne and husband Tim, all of Wells; Tammy Sargent and Timothy Sargent; as well as numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Many thanks to his grandson, Tim Pierce, for the love and compassion he had for his grandfather over the past several years. They watched over each other and had a very special bond.
A time of visitation will be held Wednesday, August 13th, from 4pm to 6pm followed by a time of sharing at 6pm at the Johnson Funeral Home, 26 Market Street, North Berwick, ME. Condolences may be expressed at www.JohnsonFuneralHomeME.com
