Karen Dubay Obituary

Karen A. Dubay, 49, of Sanford, passed away peacefully at her home June 1, 2026.

She was born May 29, 1977, in Dover, NH, daughter of Alfred and Debra (Butler) Dubay. Karen was raised in North Berwick and graduated from Noble High School in 1996.  She was employed at Kittery Trading Post for a few years, before moving to Cabella’s where she was a cash lead.

Karen loved the outdoors, especially times spent with her dad in Rangeley; fishing, kayaking and bird hunting.  She was the “grill master” for her friends and family.  Her weekly visits with her mom and niece Hadley meant the world to her. Karen was a very giving person who truly cared for others.  She was an active member of TOPS ME #423, North Berwick.

Karen was pre-deceased by her father Alfred Dubay on March 26, 2026, and her stepdad with whom she had a very special relationship, Bob Summa in 2017, and Aunt Sheila Spraker in 2024.

Surviving are her mother, Debra Dubay of North Berwick; brother Joe Dubay and his wife Becky of North Berwick; niece Hadley of North Berwick;  uncles, Ronald Dubay and wife Mary of South Berwick, Tom Spraker of VA; a step-niece, Lexie of Sanford,  step-mother, Cindy Dubay of Lebanon as well as many other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends and her 3 kitties whom she loved so much.
