Judith Marie Moffitt was born on May 12, 1939 in Provo Utah. She was the third child of Milo and Pauline Adams. She Joined her sister Patricia and her brother Allen. She grew up in Salt Lake City. After graduating from Olympia High School, she attended Art School on a scholarship. She worked as a technical illustrator for Thiokol Propulsion Industries.
Judy married Edward G. Moffitt when she was 20 and they were married for 53 wonderful years. They were best friends and supported each other through the wonderful and the challenging times. They traveled extensively with the military. She thoroughly enjoyed the Army life and they made many lifelong friends. They lived in Germany twice and while there traveled to several areas in Europe. Her favorite place was Amsterdam with its quaint shops and gardens where tulips (her favorite flower) were plentiful. They also moved frequently while stationed within the United States- traveling through 39 states and living in 12 states throughout her life. She loved experiencing new cultures and meeting new people.
Edward and Judy were blessed with 2 children, a daughter Janet and a son Edward. She Loved being a mother and grandmother and eventually a great-grandmother to 4 great granddaughters. Judy loved to use her artistic ability and created wonderful embroidery and cross stitch wall hangings. She also collaborated with her husband, he would use his fine wood-working skills and create furniture and Judy would paint them with a variety of scenes or flowers.
Judy always looked for the bright side of things and loved to laugh. She had a great sense of humor and it was a joy to be a part of her family. She will be greatly missed.
Judy passed away at Pinnacle Nursing Home in Sanford ME with her family by her side on September 14,2021 at age 82. She was a part of the Pinnacle family for 2 years. She frequently shared how much she enjoyed the activities, especially bingo and the laughs she shared with the staff. She was predeceased by her parents, sister and brother, her husband, her daughter and her granddaughter. She is survived by her son Edward (Kristina) Moffitt, 2 grandsons and their wives and 4 granddaughters. A private family gathering celebrating her life was held.
