Juanita M Dustin

Juanita M. (Haines) Dustin of Lebanon (formerly of Shapleigh), Maine passed away June 23, 2023 following a brief illness. 

She was born in Beaver Falls, PA on November 25, 1947 to John and Mildred (Miller) Haines.  Juanita is predeceased by her parents, her sister Patricia Maier, and brothers Terry and James Haines.

Juanita grew up in Kingston, NJ before meeting her husband and moving to Hightstown, NJ. They would later move to Shapleigh, ME where they raised their family.  She had a love of learning and took several courses at the York County Technical College in Wells. Juanita worked at both SPM and Cole Haan in Sanford for many years.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, William Dustin of Lebanon, her daughter Dana Machadinho and her husband Michael of Upton, MA as well as her son John Dustin and his wife Jeanette of Lebanon, ME. Juanita is also survived by her brother John Haines and his wife Ann of Millstone Township, NJ, her brother in-law Craig Dustin and his wife Claudia of Wells, ME as well as several nieces and nephews.

The greatest joy in Juanita’s life was being a Mimi and bragging about her grandchildren Kaleb, Kaden and Makala Dustin and Mason and Ella Machadinho. She was incredibly proud of them and always had a story to tell and a picture to show off to anyone who asked.  She was an avid reader and lover of the Red Sox.

At Juanita’s request,  a private burial will be held at a later date.
