Joanne L. (Richter) Eagle

Obituary

Joanne R. Eagle, 87, of North Berwick passed away March 6, 2022 in Biddeford at SMMC. 

She was born in New Haven, CT July 19, 1934 to Horace and Florence (Witterwell) Richter.

Joanne and her late husband, Tom Eagle played a big role in our community of North Berwick.  During the 1970’s and into the 1980’s, they owned the Commercial Block building where they, along with their two sons, Lance and Jon, ran a hardware store on one side and a grocery store on the other.  Joanne could always be found behind the cash register, helping folks find what they need.   They served their community well for many years.  Those were the good ole days where many memories were made.

 Joanne was predeceased by her husband Thomas Lance Eagle, Jr.  Surviving are her two sons, Thomas Lance Eagle III and his wife Janis of North Berwick, Jonathan Eagle and his significant other, Robin of Iowa; 6 grandchildren, Rick, Jon, Katie, Chris, Ben and Nathan as well as 7 great-grandchildren. She was our beloved mother and grandmother who will be sorely missed.
