James Howard DeLarmarter

SANFORD, ME 

James Howard DeLamarter, 68 of Sanford,  passed away peacefully at his home, July 23, 2025. 

James Howard DeLarmarter was a man who lived a life of service. He found so much enjoyment in helping others and giving back to his community, no matter if it was at work, in the church or with the Knights of Columbus in which he was very proud of. If you had the pleasure of talking to and getting to know Jim you understood his passion for The New York Yankees, his ability to create beautiful artwork with wood burning, his absolute love for his faith and his knowledge for automotive information was incredible. 

Mr DeLamarter is survived by his children, his daughter Priscilla Forziati and partner Richard DeCato, his sons Eddie Clifford,  Kevin Hadsel and partner Alex Schwartz and daughter Kristina Hadsel and partner Timothy Winters. His grandchildren Zackery, and Myles Chmielorz, Aaron Daggett , Timothy and Kori Lynn DeCato. His sister Natalie and husband Bill Mcallan, his nephew Nicholas Pappas and partner Randy Carter and their son Morgan Pappas, his niece Jennifer and husband Bryan Ringo.  

James is going to be mourned not only by his family and friends but also at the church dinners and the holiday meals that were delivered to others in the community.  James will also be missed as a member that stood proud at the Knights of Columbus as a fourth-degree knight.  Services for James will be held August 23 at 10 AM at Saint Theresa Church, 66 North Ave., Sanford, ME. 

Although your wings may have been ready to fly, It has been hard saying goodbye.  There is comfort, knowing that he has been reunited with his mother Barbra his eldest daughter Tonya Lynn and his beloved dog diesel.
