James Thomas Davis Jr.

James T. Davis Jr., age 75, known as “Jamie”, “Jim”, “Jimmy”, “Dad” and most importantly “Grampy”, passed away on Friday, June 6, 2025.  

Jamie was born in Boston, MA and was raised in Dorchester and Brookline. He was the son of the late James T. Davis and Virginia (Ryan) Davis. 

After returning home, from Vietnam (where he served as a Marine in the 9th Engineers), he married Nanci L. (Ciancarelli) and settled in Norwood, MA.   Jamie, a mechanic by trade, worked, for several years, at Norwood Cadillac before retiring from the Town of Dedham. 

Jamie and Nanci decided to retire to Wells to enjoy Maine- “the way life should be”.  

Jamie was predeceased by Nanci on August 20, 2024. He leaves behind his sisters- Sharon and her (late) husband Skip O’Malley, Virginia “Ginny” Edwards, and Diane and her husband Richard Giammasi. He was predeceased by his brothers Ronald and Brian.  

He is survived by his children, Danielle Bullard and husband Peter of Wells, ME, and Jeffrey Davis and partner Lynn Bowman of Mansfield, MA. Known to them as “Grampy” he is survived by his grandchildren, Kasey Bullard and her fiancé Hunter Werkhoven of Ellington, CT, Timothy Bullard and his partner Kait Boyer of Raleigh, NC and Isabel and Justin Davis of Mansfield, MA. 

On Friday, August 22, 2025, a short visitation will be held at Gillooly Funeral Home, 126 Walpole Street (1A), Norwood, MA from 9:00am-10:00am. Immediately following visitation, at 10:30 am, a church service will be held at St. Timothy’s Church, 650 Nichols Street, Norwood, MA. Interment to follow at Highland Cemetery.
