Guy Normand Laflamme

NORTH BERWICK, ME

Guy N. Laflamme, 68 of Portland Street, passed away unexpectedly at his home May 15, 2023 with his wife by his side.

Guy was born April 9, 1955 in Biddeford, ME the son of Normand and Lorraine (Gosselin) Laflamme.  Guy was a 1973 graduate of Biddeford High School.  In 1983, Guy married his sweetheart, Romaine Caraivan, welcoming their son Jordan in 1983 and settling in the little town of North Berwick in 1986.  Guy enjoyed his small-town life and his wonderful neighborhood. For many years, Guy was a welder for Portsmouth Naval Shipyard.  He eventually transferred to Hussey Seating in North Berwick, retiring in 2020.

Guy has always been a dedicated family man. While his son was growing up, Guy never missed any of his son’s soccer or basketball games. When Jordan had children of his own, Pepere spent as much time as he could showering them with his love and filling them full of laughter. Guy adored his family and always put them first. He was a wonderful and caring husband, father and grandfather.

Guy had a special way of making everyone he met feel loved. He was always the life of the party especially when AC/DC was being played. He had his own way of fixing just about anything that needed fixing. He loved the outdoors; he was an avid hunter, enjoyed digging fresh clams at the beach and could be seen out walking for miles and miles. Prior to walking, he was a long distance runner who completed several marathons. Guy truly lived life to its fullest.

He was predeceased by his parents and brother, Marc.  He will be sorely missed by his wife of 40 years, Romaine Laflamme of North Berwick; son Jordan Laflamme and his wife Andrea of Amesbury, MA; brother Michael Laflamme and wife Carol of Kennebunkport, ME; 2 sisters Priscille Hetzel and husband Larry and Debra Benson and husband Steve all of Biddeford, ME, his kitty Lily and his precious granddaughters whom he adored, Aubrey and Scarlett.

A time of visitation will be held Wednesday May 24, 2023 12:00pm to 1:30 immediately  followed by a Memorial Service  at 1:30pm at the Johnson Funeral Home, 26 Market Street, North Berwick, ME.  A Celebration of Life will be held also on Wednesday from 2pm to 5pm at the VFW in Sanford 1 Hutchinson St. Sanford, ME.

 In lieu of flowers the family is requesting that friends who wish may contribute to the American Heart Association.
