Estelle Wilson Obituary

Estelle M. Wilson, 95

Arundel, Maine - Estelle M. Wilson passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, April 22, 2026.

She was born in Jamaica, New York, on January 2, 1931. She was the daughter of the late Alexander J. Deveau and Mary (Aucoin) Deveau. She was the devoted wife of the late Frederick (Ted) Wilson, Jr., who passed away in 2021.

She graduated from Waltham High School, class of 1948. Estelle worked for many years as a waitress in Waltham, Massachusetts, working at Diane Marie’s and the Lobster Haven. Ted and Estelle were married on January 20, 1951. In 1960, Estelle and Ted moved to Framingham, Massachusetts, to raise their family. There, she worked for many years at Giovanni’s and P. Brillo’s. She loved waitressing, meeting people, and telling jokes. She met many celebrities at Monticello’s, where she also worked.

In 1989, she and Ted moved to York, Maine, where they had vacationed regularly throughout the years. She waitressed at Fazio’s, where many of her customers became lifelong friends. They eventually moved to Wells, where she finally retired, and in 2015, she and Ted moved in with their eldest daughter. Estelle was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan. She made the pilgrimage to Fort Myers for Spring Training for many years. Her love of Tom Brady was well known, and when he left the Patriots for the Buccaneers, she became a Buccaneers fan!

Estelle was a devoted mother to Laureen Wilson of Arundel, Maine; Diane Barnum and her husband, Steven, of Wells, Maine; Gary and his wife, Susan, of Vancouver, Washington; and Gregory of Kennebunk, Maine and his partner, David Nadeau, of Epping, New Hampshire. She was the beloved Nana to Kimberly (Barnum) Woods and her husband Benjamin of South Berwick, Maine, Keri (Barnum) Rinaldi and her husband Fernando of Lyman, Maine, Rebecca (Wilson) Kramer and her husband Ben of Kingsville, Missouri, Christianna (Wilson) Ferguson and her husband Shawn of Vancouver, Washington, and Charlotte Wilson of Vancouver, Washington. She was the Great Nana to Olivia and Jason Woods, Abigail, Emma, and Lillian Rinaldi, and Taya and Alice Kramer. Estelle is survived by her brother Melvin Deveau, sisters-in-law, Laura Ann Baker of Gardner, Massachusetts, and Rita Coughlin of Holden, Massachusetts, and brother-in-law Chris Wilson of Gresham, Oregon. She also leaves behind a dear friend, Jacquelyn McCarthy of Brighton, Massachusetts, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was predeceased by her brothers Edward and Leonard Deveau.
