Eleanor Paula Phinney - 95
Eleanor (Eanie) was born at Wentworth Douglas Hospital to Henry Raymond Schulmaier SR & Alice Irene Schulmaier (Wenworth) on October 24, 1928– Died peacefully at home on March 3, 2024.
After graduating from North Berwick High School she went on to work for AT&T as a phone operator for 43 ½ years. She married Harold Everett Phinney on May 17, 1957. They lived in Dover, New Hampshire for a short period of time before moving back to Oak Woods Road in North Berwick, Maine. After 11 years of marriage, they grew their family by adding Kate Alice Phinney on March 3, 1968 and Jay Michael Phinney on June 1, 1972.
Once back in North Berwick, she continued to work on the family farm daily, while raising her family and continuing to work in Dover nights as an operator. She was extremely hard working, no matter the job that needed to be done.
Her love for horses started at a very young age. Getting her first horse when she was 5 years old and parting with her last horse when she was 90 years old. Other things she enjoyed were convertible cars, preferably a Ford Mustang.
Being very family orientated, she was the family caregiver for many members over the years. Always putting other needs before her own.
Though most people would dread working in the hay field. To her it was her second home in the Summer. Not only tendering and raking the hay but also tossing hay bales for serval hours each hay day.
She is predeceased by her parents, Henry SR & Alice, husband Harold Everett Phinney, her brothers Henry JR & Gerald (Jerry). She is survived by her daughter, Kate A. Phinney Lord and her husband Mike Lord and son Jay Michael Phinney and his wife Kelly G. Phinney.
