Dyantha M. (Chadbourne) Johnson

Dyantha Merlene Johnson, 86, of passed away peacefully, July 10, 2023 at the Gosnell Hospice House after a period of failing health, with her daughter Crystal and Philip  by her side.

Dyantha was born July 27, 1936 in Biddeford, the daughter of Victor Merle and Beryl Diantha (Kelley) Chadbourne.  She grew up in Wells, ME and graduated from Wells High School.  After school, she went to work as a bank teller, where she met her husband, Malcolm Hayes Johnson. Dyantha worked retail locally for most of her life at such places as Hathaway Shirts, Globe and Ames Department Stores.

Dy loved being part of the Shriners Renegades with her husband Malcolm, attending parades, Lobster Bakes and gatherings.  She and Malcolm enjoyed many years of dancing together.  The ocean gave her great peace as did her love of all animals, especially her cats and dogs.

She was pre-deceased by her husband Malcolm Hayes Johnson in 2017, and brother Charles Chadbourne. 

She leaves behind her daughter, Crystal Danis and her 2 sons Scott and Brian Johnson all of Wells, ME, many nieces and nephews and her little dog, Brandy.

Services for close family and friends will be held Friday, July 14.  Visiting hours from 12pm to 1pm followed by a funeral service at 1pm at the Johnson Funeral Home, 26 Market Street, North Berwick, ME.

. Interment in Hillside Cemetery, North Berwick, ME. Arrangements are entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, North Berwick, Maine.  Memorial donations may be made to Another Chance Animal Rescue, P.O.
