David Vincent Obituary

David was born May 18, 1942 to Ernest C. and Alice G. Vincent and died on August 16, 2022 at the home of his sister and brother in law Donna V. Perkins and Ralph A. Perkins.

David grew up in Melrose and Malden MA and moved with our family to N. Berwick ME when he was in 8th grade.  He graduated in 1961 from North Berwick High School.

He moved to Boston MA where he lived and worked for over 30 years.  He thoroughly enjoyed his work and his coworkers at Boston University Hospital.  He was always so thankful for the special group of ladies who so faithfully remained in contact with him post retirement.

In recent years he truly enjoyed his reconnection with his high school class of 1961 and was especially thankful for his friend Sylvia.

David’s passion was movies and in his earlier years he loved to travel abroad. He authored three books later in his life.

In 2014 David moved back to Sanford ME to be close to family and remained there until this summer.

He was predeceased by our mama and daddy, our brother Phil Rickett, our sister Bette, his nephew Joshua Perkins and little nephew Noah Caleb Price.  He leaves behind his sister and brother in law Donna and Ralph Perkins of N. Berwick, our brother in law Paul Atlas and his wife Martha of Plaistow, NH, many nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews. He had a special connection with his brother in law Tony Price and nephew Elijah Price.

We give special thanks to Hospice of Southern Maine for all their care, concern and provision. Words cannot express adequately our thankfulness to them.

Ralph and Donna especially thank our Eliot Baptist Church family who has so wonderfully come around our family for support.

There is no service planned and there will be a private burial.

It has been an honor and a privilege to give care to our brother in his last days.  Being with him in those last moments of life has truly been a holy and sacred moment and very clear gift from our Heavenly Father, the Creator, Giver and sustainer of all life; and the Savior of our souls through Jesus Christ by His death, burial, Resurrection and promise of His coming again.
