He graduated from Lake Region High School in Naples, ME in 1974. He continued on to the University of Maine at Presque Isle, graduating in 1978 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education, Recreation and Dance. He brought all of his life experiences into the family he built with his beautiful wife. Teaching his children and friends everything he knew. As a family they enjoyed spending time at camp on Peabody Pond and annual trips to Soulfest during the summers. Winters were spent snowmobiling, skiing, and ice-fishing while savoring a fine cigar.

He was an outdoorsman through and through and had the utmost appreciation for God’s creation. The fall season was always dedicated to deer hunting, the spring time to turkey hunting and summers to fishing. There were many motorcycle rides to North Conway and bike week together. There were countless sports games and other school events that he was always there for his kids - with a video camera. He was always proud of his family.
