David C. Garland

David Charles Garland of Lebanon, ME passed away at his home on the evening of October 2, 2023, he was 79 years old.

David was born in the town of Rochester, in Strafford County NH on June 8, 1944.

In his younger years, David enjoyed camping and snowmobiling with family and friends. He spent countless hours working on automobiles, fixing things, and later the craft of woodworking. Always willing to help out a friend, neighbor, or family member, he will be missed. 
 

David was preceded in death by his mother Ruth Patenaude, brother Michael Patenaude, wife Susan (Swett) Garland, second wife Verna (Potvin) Garland, and step-son, Keith Potvin. 

David is survived by a brother John Patenaude of Dracut MA; 2 sons Randall Garland of Lebanon ME and Robert Garland of Rochester NH; 2 step-sons Larry Potvin of Acton ME and Paul Potvin of Somersworth NH; 2 step-daughters, Lori (Potvin) Leach of Lebanon ME and Arlene (Potvin) Hall of Berwick ME; companion Nancy Purcell of Rochester NH; 4 grandchildren, 14 step-grandchildren, and several step-great-grandchildren.
