David Emery Obituary

David A. Emery, 66 of Sanford, ME passed away peacefully in SMMC Biddeford after a period of failing health.

He was born October 25, 1953 the son of Alfred and Eleanor (Fife) Emery.  David was a graduate of Thornton Academy in Saco.  He was employed at various places over the years, among them were Lyn-Flex Shoe in Saco, Westbrook Spinning, Peck’s Store and Boothby’s Farm both Limington.  David would often be seen riding his motorized chair around Sanford, Springvale and on his trips to Cumberland Farms, where he enjoyed conversing with other patrons.  He loved coffee; actually, he was obsessed with it and wouldn’t do anything before he had a cup in hand.

In 1975 he married Carolyn Perkins and together they raised their 3 children in Limington, moving to the Sanford/Springvale area in 1995.  David was an avid Patriots fan. He was a best friend and companion to his wife of 44 years.  His sense of humor and the love from his family brought him through many dark times.  David was a kind, caring and gentle soul who never missed an opportunity to say “I Love You”.  He had fond memories of swimming in the Ossipee River in Limington with his family.

He is survived by his wife Carolyn; daughter Misty Emery; son Jason Emery and partner Jennifer Siciliani, all of Sanford; son Jeremy Emery of Buxton; 3 sisters, Sharon Burton of Windham, Marilyn Caouette and husband Andy of West Kennebunk and Jane Dery of Hollis Center.
