Claudette (Thibault) Caron

Claudette Caron, 87 of Wells, passed away peacefully February 26, 2021 at Pinnacle Health and Rehab in Sanford with family by her side.

 She was born in Fall River, MA on May 16, 1933, the daughter of Albert and Aldea (Decosse) Thibault.  After graduating high school Claudette received her Secretarial certificate. 

 In 1956 she married Pierre Caron in Westport, MA.  They were married 28 years; raising 6 children in Manchester, CT. For many of those years Claudette kept the books and mastered the call radio for P.R. Caron Electrical, Pierre’s family business.

 While all six children were growing up, Claudette’s mother and Pierre’s father also lived with the family.  Life was very busy with ten people in the household; cooking, cleaning, and caring for so many. A special time for Claudette and Pierre was their 25th Anniversary trip out West to see the Rockies and Lake Louise.  Just three years later, Pierre passed away. Shortly thereafter Claudette moved to Wells ME. She earned her CNA certificate and worked for Visiting Nurses for 15 years, traveling around York County; caring for a community that was just as important to her.

 A woman of strong faith she found joy in helping others as she volunteered for many different organizations, including St. Mary’s Church, where she provided transportation to those in need and delivered meals to church families.  She enjoyed singing in the choir, going to plays and musicals, playing table games, camping, reading and attending her grandchildren’s many sporting events, school concerts and dance recitals. Her grandchildren were the light of her life. Nieces and nephews and numerous friends, too many to mention in this space, were all essential to her.

 She was predeceased by her husband, Pierre and two brothers, Fernand Thibault and wife Pauline; Ronald Thibault and wife Rosemarie.  She will be forever loved by her 4 sons, Robert Caron and wife Kimberlee of Acton, ME, Richard Caron and wife Sue of Wells, ME, Randy Caron and wife Kim of Vernal, UT, Ron Caron and partner Dave Smith of Sanford; 2 daughters, Joyce Lampron and husband Timothy of Chelmsford, MA and Janet Tessier and husband Joel of Acton, ME; 13 grandchildren; Krissy, Joshua, Betsy, Kelly, Kimberley, Danielle, Emily, Konnor, Cathy, Jeremiah, Kelsey, Keegan and Hannah as well as 9 great grandchildren.

 A  Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Time and location will be announced.
