Charles "Buster" Arthur Wallingford Jr.

BERWICK, ME

Charles (Buster) Wallingford, Jr.,87, of Hubbard Road in Berwick, passed away peacefully June 26, 2024 at the Hyder Family Hospice House in Dover, NH.

He was born July 18, 1936 in North Berwick, ME, the son of Charles and Blanch (Rose) (Wallingford) Rumney.  Buster grew up and attended school in North Berwick.  Buster worked for several shoe shops in the Rochester, NH area retiring from Thompson Central Arms, lasering gun barrels.

When his children were little, Buster was a familiar face at his kids’ sporting events.  He enjoyed climbing Mount Washington on several occasions.  He loved collecting old bottles, vases, and water pitchers and having his own garden.  “Easychair” was his handle on the CB expressing one of his favorite past times of watching TV in his favorite chair.  Buster also enjoyed countryside rides with his wife, Anna.  Mostly, he enjoyed his own comfy home and time with his family.

Buster was pre-deceased by his parents, siblings, Roger Rose and Charlene Emery, son-in-law George (Durk) Lawson and grandson Nathan Wallingford.  Surviving are his wife of 66 years, Anna (Viel) Wallingford of Berwick, ME; son Michael Wallingford and wife Robin of Glendale, WI, daughter Denise Lawson of Uxbridge, MA; 3 grandchildren, Shannon (David) Niziolek, Kayla (Stephen) Desgrosseilliers, and SaraJane Wallingford; 4 great grandchildren, Patrick, Alex, Jacob and Adalyn.

A time of visitation will be held Monday, July 1 from 11am to 12 noon immediately followed by a funeral service at 12pm noon at the Johnson Funeral Home, 26 Market Street, North Berwick, ME.  Interment to follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Berwick, ME.  Condolences may be expressed at www.JohnsonFuneralHomeME.com.
