Ann Shibles Obituary

Ann A Shibles, life long resident of No Berwick passed away peacefully at the age of 87 on June 28, 2026 from Alzheimer’s Disease.

Ann came into this world on April 26,1939, the youngest of three daughters born to Herbert and Catherine (Simeoni) Weymouth.

She attended North Berwick schools and excelled at playing basketball. When not at school she would be with her beloved German Shepherd, Laddie. This love of animals progressed into Ann rescuing Rottweilers and providing warm loving homes for them. She and her Rottie, Delche were on an episode of the TV series Rescue Ink. A show about tough, tattooed motorcyclist who rescued animals.

Ann worked for Varney Crossing as a CNA for many years. Then was employed by Waban Projects at their residential homes for handicapped adults. Her compassionate and caring nature made her patients feel loved like family.

Her passion for sports was passed down to her children and their children. They kept her busy traveling and watching all their sporting events. Ann was a huge Red Sox - New England sports Fan and Ann LOVED Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs!

Ann will be remembered as the most kind hearted person and generous beyond compare. She was a blessing to her family and will be greatly missed.

Ann is survived by her sister, Mary Holshouser.  Her 5 children:  Donald Shibles and wife Karen, Laurie Shibles, David Shibles, Sharon Thompson and husband Greg  and Shirley Cincotta.  5 Grandchildren: Meghan, Kirby, David, Shane and Alyssa.  5 Great Grandchildren: Jack, Olivia, Sawyer, Matt and Colbie

Ann is predeceased by her parents, her sister Shirley Weymouth, Stepfather Donald Kendall,  Beloved Cousin Dennis Simeoni, Daughter in law Trish Shibles , Son in law Michael Cincotta and father of her children, Robert Shibles

The family would like to Thank Darlene Ford and Arcadia Home Care for helping the family take care of their Mom at home.

A Thank you to the staff at Pinnacle of Sanford for her care during Ann’s short stay. 

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
