Andrew A. Carbon of Sanford, Maine sadly passed away on November 30, 2022. Andrew (Andy) was born to Sam and Irma Carbon on June 13, 1948. After attending Wilson High School in Youngstown, Ohio he went on to work at General Motors in Lordstown before moving to Bonita Springs, Florida in the early 70’s.
Andy had a number of jobs throughout his life from tomato farmer to security work until he excelled in building maintenance of condominiums in Naples, Florida.
Andy loved to cook as well as eat. Especially his mom’s Italian family dishes. He loved family gatherings as well as cooking for his many friends and family so much as to start hosting an annual pig roast at his home each year for 13 years having as many as 150 guests.
In 2007 he moved his wife back to her roots and family here in Maine. He loved working with his hands crafting, woodworking, refinishing antique trunks and furniture and loved working and restoring antique cars.
His family will remember him as a fun, loving guy that would do any and all he could for them and loved a great cook out and never held a grudge.
He was a great brother, husband, father and grandfather. He will be missed by many as he was loved by all who met him.
