Susan Beth Smith

Susan Beth Smith, 54, of Portland St. in North Berwick, ME passed away peacefully at York Hospital from complications of diabetes and kidney cancer. She went home to be with the Lord on February 18, 2019.

Susan was born April 5, 1964 in Milo, ME, daughter of Wayne A. and Loretta A. (Dion) Smith and graduated from Wells, ME High School in 1982. She worked as a certified nurses aid for over twenty years, loving and positively affecting the lives of so many people.

She had a beautiful soul and helped people and animals in any way she could.  Susan had a wonderful sense of humor and her laugh was infectious.  She made many friends throughout the years who will remember her for her caring heart. Her health struggles made her the strong person she was. Susan loved her family and friends and although her health presented limitations in the past years, she was always eager to know what was happening with everyone. 

Susan was predeceased by her mother Loretta and father Wayne.  Surviving are her sister, Kelly Michaud and her husband Edward of Wells, ME, her brother, Steven Smith and his wife Kathleen of Troy, ME, and sister Shelly Stuart of Saco, as well as step mother Janet Smith of Camden, ME, stepsisters Ruth Griffin and Mary Bouchard, stepbrother Michael Griffin, their spouses, many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and so many special friends. Susan also leaves behind her beloved kitties, Henry, Sophie, and Bindi who will miss her greatly.

Her family is extremely grateful to the many kind and caring healthcare professionals who have supported Susan during her struggles with her many health challenges.
