Steven M. Lauze, 54, of Butler Road, passed away peacefully at home on September 18, 2018 after a period of declining health.
He was born May 23, 1964 in Kittery, Maine, son of Joseph and Judith (Cote) Lauze. Steven was a 1983 graduate of Noble High School where he loved participating in both football, baseball and wrestling; wrestling being his favorite. He will always be remembered as one of the 3 musketeers, along with Kelly and Mike. Steven enjoyed motorcycles and fast cars.
In 1984, Steven enlisted in the U.S. Navy; beginning a 20 year career serving our country. During that time, he was stationed in the Pacific and Mediterranean. He served during Dessert Storm, was stationed off the coast of Kuwait and did a tour of Japan, among numerous other stations; before retiring in 2004 as an Aviation Boatswain’s Mate First Class.
Steven was pre-deceased by his sister, Belinda (Lauze) Ibbitson in 2016. Surviving are his parents, Joseph and Judith Lauze of North Berwick, ME; his sister Karri (Lauze) Viollette of Columbus, OH; his niece, Meaghan Morin and great-niece Abigail; nephews, Brennen and Derek Violette.
There will be no public services. Interment will be in the Southern Maine Veterans Cemetery in Springvale, ME. Contributions in his memory may be made to DAV York County Chapter #19, P.O. Box 1294, Sanford, ME 04073
