Kellee Ann (McGovern) Stobe

Kellee Ann (McGovern) Stobe, 40, of York, Maine died unexpectedly on Monday, May 6, 2019 in Maine Medical Center due to complications from a stroke.

She was born October 26, 1978 in Lowell, MA, daughter of Paul and Joan (Olsen) McGovern.  Kellee graduated from Wells High School in Wells, ME in 1997.  She studied history and graduated with a Bachelors Degree in 2012. 

Kellee had a love of gardening, the ocean, reading, and  spending time with friends and family.  She was a devoted mother of her two sons, Jesse and Andrew and a loving wife to Christopher.

Kellee will be remembered for her bright smile and positive attitude; always available for a shoulder to lean on and most of all, her amazing hugs. 

She was predeceased by her mother, Joan McGovern, in 2014.  Surviving are her loving companion of 19 years and husband for 14 years,  Christopher; 2 sons, Jesse and Andrew; father, Paul McGovern; brother Tim McGovern; her numerous best friends and her 2 cats, Sponge Bob and Whiskers. She is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to a celebration of Kellee’s life on Sunday, May 19 from 12pm to 4pm at the Meeting House at Union Bluff, 4 Beach Street, York, ME 03909.  In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted  for the family in a GO FUND ME set up in her memory at:
