Joseph R. Dupuis

Joseph Robert Dupuis, 88, of North Berwick Maine died in the loving arms of his wife, Rachel Goudreau Dupuis, on June 6, 2019.

Joseph was born in Saco, Maine on December 23, 1930. He helped the family farm by delivering milk and ice to local families. He served in the Army from 1947-1951 at which time he was awarded the Korean Service Medal and United Nations Service Medal.  When he returned from Korea, he worked as a high tension lineman for Seward Construction of Kittery, ME and later joined forces with CMP as a first Class lineman for 43 years.

On March 31, 1951 he married the love of his life, Rachel. They raised six children on their farm in North Berwick, ME.

He is survived by his wife, Rachel; their sons Robert Dupuis and his wife Linda of North Berwick, David Dupuis and his wife Nancy of West Newfield, Michael Dupuis and his wife Katharine Booth of Eliot; and their daughter, Donna Flint and her husband Daniel of Sanford and daughter-in-law, Susan Hatch Dupuis of Sanford.

He was predeceased by their sons Roger Dupuis, 1995 and Alan Dupuis, 1996.

The farmhouse is the gathering place of the family, where they enjoy their 15 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.

A burial with military honors will be held on Wednesday, June 12 at 10am in the Southern Maine Veterans Cemetery, 83 Stanley Road, Springvale, ME.  In lieu of flowers please consider donating to the Southern Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, P.O. Box 583, Springvale, ME 04073
