Jean H. (Jellison) Maher-Bridges

Jean H. (Jellison) Maher-Bridges, 72, formerly of Wells, ME passed away April 13, 2019 at Maine Medical Center after a period of failing health.

She was born in Sanford, ME August 9, 1946, daughter of Ernest and Roberta (Steel) Jellison and graduated from Wells High School.  Jean was the proprietor of Gifts & Greeting store on Route 1 for many years.  Later in life, she earned her Computer Science Degree from Andover College, changing careers to a Medical Underwriter for Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield.  Jean loved cooking and established JMB Catering.  She was passionate about her gardens and  loved soaking up the sun at the ocean.

She was predeceased by her husband of 25 years,  Lindley (Brother) Bridges in 2016.  Surviving are her son Dennis Maher, Jr and wife Della; daughter Darcie Maher and life partner Dale LaPointe; 2 grandchildren, Lance and Mikayla Maher and great-granddaughter, Clementine Powell; sister Marilyn Decatur; brother Peter Jellison and wife Donna; nieces Marnie Tafferner and Holly Jellison, nephew Christopher Decatur; great-nieces Arielle Brown, Sierra and Bailey Decatur; great-nephew Joshua Brown.
