Janice E. Walsh, 70, of Lebanon Road, passed away Sunday, August 11, 2019 at Varney Crossing after years of failing health.

She was born in York, ME on March 24, 1949, the daughter of Roger and Patricia Langille. After graduating York High School, Janice earned her teaching degree at the Gorham State Teachers College and earned her Masters in Writing from the University of New Hampshire.

Janice taught for a short time in China, ME then in Farmington, NH but most of her lifelong career, she taught Junior High in the York School District. Janice and her husband owned a sheep farm in town and she had a great love of all animals. She was an amazing Daughter, Friend, Wife, Mother and Grandmother. Janice loved her family, the ocean, flowers, gardening, antiquing, shopping, teaching, chocolate, having fun and spoiling everyone! Janice worked tirelessly and gave 100% of herself to whatever she did and to whomever she was with. Janice was so strong and courageous, a Pillar in every storm. Janice left her wisdom is the minds of lots of children and her love in both her family's and her friend's hearts. Janice loved the community and both she and Tom hosted Easter Egg Hunts for at least 20 years; inviting everyone to attend. Janice fostered children and adopted daughter, Dorothy Stiles.

Janice was survived by her husband of 44 years, Thomas Walsh of North Berwick; daughter, Dorothy Stiles and her husband Graham Stiles of Milton, NH; her son Craig Walsh of Bethany, OK; Her father Roger Langille of Kennebunk; sister, Judy Griffin and her husband Tom of Oakland, ME; 2 brothers, Donald Langille of York, ME and David Langille of Rochester, NH; 4 grandchildren, Avery, Hunter, Tanner and Tiana.
