Edward Maynard Obituary

Edward J. Maynard, 87, of Gendron Drive, passed away peacefully December 29, 2018 in the York Hospital.

He was born February 25, 1931 in Cambridge, MA, the son of Thomas M. Maynard I and Rose (Morrison) Maynard. Ed was the last remaining of seven siblings: Mary B. Maynard, Joseph E. Maynard, Catherine Maynard, Thomas M. Maynard II, Ruth Maynard, and Rose T. Maynard. He graduated from Rindge Technical High School in Cambridge and proudly served in the U.S. Navy aboard U.S.S. Hawkins during the Korean Conflict.

Ed is survived by his niece, Helen Maynard-Miller of Cambridge, MA; nephew Thomas M. Maynard III of Woburn, MA; great-nephew, Joseph Maynard and his wife Meliza of Winter Park, FL; great-niece Emily Maynard-Miller of Marlborough, MA, and several other nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, January 4, 2019 at 1PM in the Cambridge Cemetery, 76 Coolidge Ave., Cambridge, MA with Military Honors.
