Daren graduated with honors from Noble High School in 1984, served in the US Air Force as a mechanic, worked and traveled with OASIS, and for the past 20+ years he has worked very hard in masonry and landscaping with his father and his sons.

Daren is survived by his parents Owen and Lynn Thyng , son Robert Daren Thyng and his partner, Miranda Smith, son Andrew Steven Thyng all of North Berwick, the mother of his children Cindy Thyng of Berwick, his partner Stacy Brooks of North Berwick, brother Steven and wife Christine of North Berwick, sister Nancy Terry and her partner Kenny Newbury of Barrington, NH, niece Jade O’Donovan and her husband Tyler of Sanford , nephews Joshua Terry of Barrington, NH and Benjamin Thyng of North Berwick, uncles Wayne Weymouth and his wife Gayle of Wells, ME, Leslie Weymouth and Robert Winn both of North Berwick,  Aunt Sue Tufts of Churchill, NY, and many cousins.
