She was born in Portsmouth, NH, September 11, 1942,  daughter of Howard  and Muriel (Dixon) Franz.  Linda was raised in Kittery, graduating from Traip Academy before earning her degree as a Registered Nurse from the Exeter School of Nursing.  With kindness and compassion, she spent her life caring for others at the Exeter Hospital,  Portsmouth Hospital, Varney Crossing Nursing Home in North Berwick as the charge nurse and retired from Pratt & Whitney Aircraft, where she met her late husband, Sonny.  In 1978, the family moved to Wells, ME.

Her greatest gift was her family.   In Linda’s own words,  “The gift of family; that you embrace every moment is like no other.  The gift of happiness; that you live life to the fullest.
