D. Linda Richardson, 76, of Cheney Woods Road, went to be with the Lord on December 24, 2018.
She was born in Portsmouth, NH, September 11, 1942, daughter of Howard and Muriel (Dixon) Franz. Linda was raised in Kittery, graduating from Traip Academy before earning her degree as a Registered Nurse from the Exeter School of Nursing. With kindness and compassion, she spent her life caring for others at the Exeter Hospital, Portsmouth Hospital, Varney Crossing Nursing Home in North Berwick as the charge nurse and retired from Pratt & Whitney Aircraft, where she met her late husband, Sonny. In 1978, the family moved to Wells, ME.
Linda was the Keystone of the family, She’s remembered for her heart of gold, forgiving and supportive soul and being strong willed, energetic and adoring her family. Linda was a wonderful hostess who loved to feed everyone, especially at Sunday dinners, ice cream socials and all family events. Linda loved gardening, knitting and crafting and sang with the Seaglass Chorale. Her greatest gift was her family. In Linda’s own words, “The gift of family; that you embrace every moment is like no other. The gift of happiness; that you live life to the fullest. The gift of friends; that you love and help each other. I love to give back to my family and friends that make me feel loved and wanted. It is so fulfilling”
Linda was pre-deceased by her 1st husband, Donald Daggett, 2nd husband, Maurice (Sonny) Richardson and brother, Joseph Franz. She will be sorely missed by 3 daughters, Deborah Fenderson and husband Laurence of Wells, Catherine Sullivan and husband Michael of Rochester, NH, Kimberly Daggett and companion Steven Komito of Waxhaw, NC; sister, Kathryn Rahill and husband David; 3 brothers, James, Allen and Roger Andrews as well as 5 grandchildren, David Williams, Donald Fenderson, Andrew Sullivan, Alex Sullivan and Aiden Komito; and 4 great-grandchildren, Brady and Gabriel Fenderson, Jocelynn Tapley and Jillyan Lyons.
An hour of visitation will be held on Friday, December 28th from 10am to 11am immediately followed by a funeral at 11am at the Johnson Funeral Home, 26 Market Street, North Berwick, ME.
