Craig Curry Obituary

Craig Johnson Curry, 76, of Coles Hill Road, died July 8, 2018 at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice after a long period of failing health. He was born June 16, 1942 in Hartford, CT, son of Raymond and Alice (Johnson) Curry. Craig was a 1960 graduate of Canton, CT High School, growing up in Collinsville, CT. He graduated Springfield College in 1964. After college he was the assistant YMCA Youth Director for the greater Boston area for 10 years then went on to become the shipping and receiving manager for Sears & Roebuck. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Collinsville, CT. Craig read every day and had a passion for Horse Racing, the Red Sox, New York Giants, Patriots and golf. Craig has lived in Wells, Maine for 38 years. Craig was pre-deceased by his aunt Charlotte Johnson, his sisters-in-law, Carol Clark and Barbara Archibald and brother-in-law Charles Goodwin. He will be sorely missed by his wife of 53 years, Susan (Goodwin) Curry; daughter Sherri Brown and her husband Steven; son Mark Curry all of Wells, granddaughter Sarah McLean and grandson Douglas McLean; brother-in-law Lloyd Clark; sister-in-law Barbara Goodwin and his cat “Missy”. A private memorial will be held at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to the Johnson Funeral Home, 26 Market Street, North Berwick, ME.
