Bailey (Bud) Roberts Obituary

Bailey A. (Bud) Roberts, 84 of Foxes Ridge Road, passed away peacefully at the Greenwood Center in Sanford after a period of failing health.

He was born February 18, 1934 in Foxborough, MA, son of Clayton and Mildred (Stanhope) Roberts.  He served in the United States Army returning home to begin a lifelong career as a logger.  He worked for Davidson Rubber and also helped his father-in-law, plowing the roads in Acton. Bud later worked for the U.S. Postal Service as a highway contractor.

He was pre-deceased by his sister, Glenna Roberts. Surviving are his wife of  57 years, Rita L. Roberts of Acton; a daughter, Anita Johnson and her husband Michael of North Berwick; Arthur Roberts of Acton, Dale Roberts and his wife Deborah of Shapleigh, grandchildren, Christopher, Michael and Matthew Johnson, Jessica Badger, Samantha, Meghan and Dale Roberts, Jr., Steven Brown, Whitney Newell and Alicia Pulk, several great grandchildren; 2 brothers Clayton Roberts and his wife Anita of Rangeley, Leon Roberts of Shirley, MA

A memorial service will be held at a later date at the Johnson Funeral Home, 26 Market Street, North Berwick, Maine.  Interment in the Southern Maine Veterans Cemetery in Springvale.
